What would be left of an FX4 ford or trailboss silverado after attempting the same feat? Nothing but a trail of plastic.

These guys literally climbed a mountain with nothing but grit, steel, and brass nuts. Preciesly why trucks are a joke today.

nope, just play with the manual choke to change the mixture.
which probably got real interesting at higher altitudes.

Choking it at high altitude would only aggravate the issue. Unless they jetted it real lean at sea level and ran it under choke till they got up high.

With 90hp (and dropping as it gained altitude) it couldn’t hurt anything if it wanted to.

No but thats why god invented station wagons.

A country squire could. Maybe not at 90mph but no one needs to tow anything large over 55-60 anyways.
