Soooo last year, in October, I was looking for parts at Hershey Antique auto flea market for model A parts and some stuff to build a cheap T bucket... well, as you can already tell I made a sporadic purchase and bought what is left of a 1925 buick.
I am also waiting for a guy I know to pull the body off of a 1953 Buick so I can get the straight 8.
The plan was to do a lakes modified roadster.
But I came across these fenders yesterday at the Macungie antique truck show and just like what was left of that buick it just felt right. So they came home with me. Guy thought they were from a 28 buick opera coupe but they are not it looks like they are from a 29-31 Cord L29 cabriolet.
So after sme searching and brain storming I think the only acceptable thing to do is a mix of of 3 cars a lakes modified roadster like the blue one above and kick ass 30 Bentley fast back and a car my friend built named Crusher which is a hand formed car with Duesenberg parts.
1930 Bentley Blue Train
I got the steel for the chassis, the fenders, the cowl and the back wall. I was gonna try and find a 32 buick grill but I don't know if I really want to drop a grand on just a grill.
So thats where I'm at. Oh and a model A rear spring crossmember and a suicide front spring mount but thats undecided.
