yeah but if you get more power than a stock 302 then your probably going to need a new frame a new tranny and new axles and all that crap. doesn't sound worth it.
Don't think you would need a new frame, you might need a bit beefier tranny, but im sure a ZF5 would handle it, and people brake the stock axles with the v6.

If its something like swapping a v6 into a 4cyl truck or gas to diesel that's cool but a v8 is kinda pointless. just get a fullsize truck for that lol
But then you have to get a 5000 lb truck to get that extra power. If you don't need the extra hauling capability that actually seems kinda pointless to me. Plus if you want a stick, you'd most likely have to swap the transmission in a V8 full size too.
