My truck has been sitting for a few years, and we are putting it back on the road. Battery was dead initially, so we took a used, but good battery and put it on. The engine cranked, but never fired. towed to a friends house and tried again, with starter fluid. It fired for a second and then wouldnt again. Pulled a plug and it had no spark. We couldnt work on it anymore that day, so we disconnected battery. Days later, when we tried again, it fired and ran for 2-3 min. We chose to shut it off and start looking at other issues, and when we tried to start it again, it wouldnt fire. Pulled a plug and it had no spark. Pulled a plug from the other coil pack and it had no spark. It seems that after disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for awhile, it will (or try) to fire, but then it has no spark. Any help? Suggestions? I'd like to move on to the other issues it has and get this running. Appreciate your time and expertise.
