'94 Ranger SWB 4x4 and 4.0 swap. This was the first truck I ever bought. Paid $900 for it in late 2005 with 194,000 miles on it. It was a fairly plane jane 2.3 2wd XLT. No cruise, A/C, Power windows etc. To make a long story short, I sold it to a buddy in late 2008 with ~230,000 miles on it. He drove it until 2013 with nothing but oil changes and ended up giving it to his dad. His dad drove it until 2015 when the rear hard brake line blew and he parked it. It took me two years of poking and prodding to get it back from him. Finally he caved in June of 2017 and told me to come get it out of his driveway. At that point it had 263,000 miles on it, plenty of rust and a long list of maintenance that needed to be done. Read more below.
