Manual transmission 1987 ford ranger 4x4, fm145/fm146 I believe. Driving to work today I started having issues in 1st gear between 10mph-15mph it felt like the trans was holding the engine back during acceleration. It was a quick pulse of power than none than power over and over. Than 2nd gear the same at 23-25mph, than 3rd at 35-40mph, than 4th at 45-50mph didnt get past 50. 5th I didnt get high enough to experience the problem. It's a repetitive issue. Anyone
(Update: ran out of gas issue was from low fuel) as it turned out my fuel gauge doesn't work.
