what have you been pulled over for?

eluding

Was street racing when young and dumb and had a red firebird, had just pulled ahead of a '79 bronco with a 460 when I see a cop car swerving eratically going the other direction, looking for a place to turn around, no cherries turned on. I made a quick right and a quick left then went home and hid the car between the house and my dads' motorhome, got on my bicycle and rode back down town just in time to see the cop who now had the bronco pulled over at the maverik station tell the driver "I had you at 67 in a 30, but I'll let you if you tell me who the guy in the brown camaro is". He replied: " I thought it was red, and I don't know his name but my uncle calls him BOOGER". while I was riding my bike in a big circle around them. Yes the guy in the bronco knew it was me. Yes I did actually know his uncle, it is a very small town after all. Yes the officer did let him go. I gave that shit up when I got married. Paid a few less fines than I had coming for sure!

then once just so the officer could ask me if my snorkel actually worked.
HAHAHA what did you say about that because thats funny..

I havn't gotten pulled over in either of my Bronco IIs. I guess this has troubles keeping up...

I know eh, i love it here its awesome when they try and do the P.I.T maneuver on your car.

Haven't driven the ranger yet so none in it
In a 1998 chev s10 zr2 with the 4.3 vortec, i had to show some little riced out civic up and i was atleast 3 links ahead the whole way but i let off at 140/km and he blew by me only to be lit up at the intersection 100m or so up the highway.
Other then that i always shoulder check before turning etc, only 5-10 km over the limit let others in by merging etc. I think all you guys should get GTA 4 because i feel no need to speed after i play that for a couple hours.
Acceleration is better then speed in the eyes of cops and the weight of the pocket.

@ compaqeo: I told him that i havent had it in deep enuf water to know. this was 2 days after i got the truck from my brother, who forgot to tell me that there was a loaded sawed off 20ga pump tucked between the seat and the center consel. luckily the cop didnt see it.

I wish I'd had one of those included when I bought MY truck. :icon_rofl:

First truck '96 Teal Green 2wd Ranger-pulled over on the Bonham square in front of my friends-tag lights out verbal warning.
Second truck '00 White Ranger 2wd-pulled over on the drag-didn't have my headlights on one night another verbal warning.
Current truck '04 Ranger Edge 4x4-pulled over in downtown Durant,OK for having my fog lights on at night when i still had the valance panel on the front end. Got off with a verbal warning, but there's a Catch-22 with this one. While the officer was running my license I counted six trucks with Oklahoma plates, every one of them that went by had there headlights and foglights on. That was profiling and profling is wrong.

Driving naked down a one way street...but it was in Montreal so they looked the other way at my nakedness...in fact, the cop wouldn't look at me at all...she was too busy laughing...

Other than that...a bit of everything...got stopped once because I didn't have a front plate on my car and when I told him that it got ripped off in the car wash (true) he tried to tell me I did it to look cool...

Most are OK, but some cops are dicks...I fought the ticket and beat it...

The one ticket I have gotten was down for 57 in 35. It was actually more like 76, but I don't think he had his gun ready yet... The sad part is I went by not even 5 minutes earlier and he wasn't there. I took it to court to get it deferred and the judge reduced it, deferred it, and told me to go to a defensive driving class.

Other time I got pulled over was pulling out of the bar like an ass because there wasn't any parking spots left. He just told me to move my trailer ball out from in front of my plate and I went back to the bar.

Now I have the 2.3 and there isn't any of that driving left in the pedal.

Got all the lights green through town one night a few years ago. Unfortunately I was cruising at 55 in a 35 zone.
The cop sort of recognized me because I worked for the local water district and he spied the business card in my wallet that looks like a County Seal insignia.

He said, "Oh what is that, Steven, a get-out-of-ticket-free-card?"

I said, "I sure hope so!"

"Get out of here. It won't always work."

"Thanks officer King!" May he rest in peace (off duty motorcycle wreck).

Cops were always just another County worker trying to raise a family and get their 20years in without getting shot in a couple's dispute call, as far as I can tell.

Most of the street cops seem like they wrestle drunks for a living. I don't envy that.

Got pulled over once in my Ranger back in 1990. I had a couple lights mounted on the rear bumper of the truck as back up lights as I did a lot of work at night and some fishing and needed to be able to see backing up. Plus they were pretty effective at getting morons behind me to dim their headlights. One night on my way home from a job about 11 PM a car came zipping up behind me with brights on. I wasn't speeding so I thought nothing of it. He stayed fairly close with the brights on for a mile or so, so I flipped the lights on and back off immediately. OOPS. State Trooper. Wound up costing me $2000.

You kidding me? Don't get me wrong I'm all for law enforcement, but He shouldn't of given you a ticket for that. What was the exact citation?

carless driving , wreckless driving, destruction of state property , driving a vechile off an unestablished roadway.....all in one day

Uh, yes he should have. He deserved that one completely. Turning reverse lights on at night ain't smart. Reckless endangerment... not to mention DOT violations.
