what have you been pulled over for?

Swift or j.b hunt

I just pulled over tonight. Bored NYS Trooper decided he wanted to look over my paperwork. Sometimes, hauling hazmat can suck.

Do you drive for SWIFT or J.B.HUNT?:icon_rofl: Even some of us POSERS have Doubles/Triples -HazMat and Motorcycle endorsements:D

God no. I drive a Gasoline tanker. With unemployment paying so long now I can't understand how anyone works for Swift or JB or even Werner.

Last night, coming home from a buddy's place I saw some tail lights up ahead of me. I was going about 50mph, the speed limit. Next thing I know I see white light on the driver side of my truck and red light on the passenger side just as I rounded a sharp bend, with a POLICE logo right in my face. I put my truck in the soft shoulder getting around the shitstain. What a stupid place to turn around. I ALMOST turned around to run him down and chew him the hell out, but I had three beers that night so I figured he'd find some way to use that against me, so I let him be. That's the second time that has happened to me in that area. The first time a state trooper backed out into the road directly in front of me while I was doing 60mph in a 55. I think that's the closest I've come to rolling my Mazda, I know I got at least one tire off the ground swerving, because I got sideways on the brakes and felt my driver side rear tire re-connect with the pavement. Both cops had accidentally positioned themselves with their driver door directly in front of me, so if it were not for my reaction time, I would have killed both of them and gotten pretty messed up myself. You just know it would have been written up as my fault, too.

A few months ago I was driving home from Tallahassee, FL after a night out with a friend. I was going down Jackson street (main road running right through town) at about 1am and there was no one on the road except me and one city cop. We were both going under the speed limit by a few mph, but I was going a hair faster than him and catching up to him (him in the left lane, me in the right). I get to where my front bumper and his rear are almost aligned, and this assclown (with NO turn signal, brake lights coming on, or bar lights coming on) swerves like a bat out of hell in front of me as he turns into the Papa John's parking lot. I almost slammed into him. I SHOULD of slammed into him, then got out tapping on his window asking why I pulled him over, then demanding his license and registration.

1. there is 1 entrance/exit to that parking lot.
2. it's 1am, its obviously closed.
3. if it were an emergency, he would of first put his bar lights on, and he didnt use it to turn around, which would of been stupid anyways.

WTF.

lol lets see...
92 dodge dynasty: wreckless op.... haulin ass out of an alleyway
2004 avalanche, 6 inch lift rollin 35s: 75 in a 60, cop told me nice truck, have a nice day and keep the speeds down
1979 f150: 60 in a 45... forgot to slow down headin into town at 2am (leavin a buddys shop)
1988 Ranger: 78 in a 60, it was bullshit, my speedometer wasn't reading over 70 and i have stock size tires and stock gearing. ticket cost 200 bucks
1988 Ranger: one week after the speeding ticket, i got pulled over for having my red neons and leds on in the cab. illegal display of red lights. got a written warning for my tailight being out, but it clearly wasn't out, the nightshades was a little too dark lol.

I figure after being pulled over this many times and only getting one ticket i'm fairly lucky. especially since i was under 21 for all of them.

yesterday around 7pm i got pulled over for sitting in my truck at the park! cops around here are crazy

wreckless driving...i only had my liscense for a month at the time...for some reason cops dont like it when your in a 4cyl turbo mustang passing a 5.0 sideways.

ahhh....the good ole days was a nice $500 something dollar ticket

I got away with some things I probably shouldn't have, and I got a bunch of BS tickets (all off at college - cops loved to pick on college students up there).

Also got a couple well deserved ones.

All when I was younger and dumber. I'm not that much older now but I'm a bit smarter. Plus my DD is an F-150 with the 300-6, so there is no going fast, lol.

I did have two favorites for being pulled over though, didn't get a ticket out of either. They are the only ones that I don't mind mentioning.

The first was on my way back up to college in an 89 Bronco II Eddie Bauer that I saved from the jaws of a car crusher. I was fixing it up and driving it a bit, took it home for a weekend and on my way back I see a state Crown Vic come up behind me. No worries, I'm in a 2.9 powered 4x4 with an A4LD slushbox brick on wheels. Then the flashing red and blue comes on after a couple miles. WTF! Pull over and the guy comes up to my window, checks my license, registration and insurance cards, then tells me that my taillight is out (it would act up except when I would try to track down the fault). I was like, are you serious, that @#$%^&*...... Jumped out, walked to the back, looked and sure enough the light was out. @#$%^&* WHAM!!!, just gave the rear quarterpanel next to the light a good hard whack with my hand and the light came on, lol. I was told to have a good day and good luck fixing it! I think he was humored watching me fix the light like that, lol.

The other time I was on my way home from JohnnyO's place.... TRS had been out wheeling in Wellsville and my 2wd Ranger got a lil muddy. Ok, maybe a lot muddy, lol. Cruised past a cop that had someone pulled over on the other side of the road and was thinking "sucks to be them." Crested the hill and I'm just rollin along in no big hurry and I see headlights crest the hill behind me and they're in a hurry. Hmm..... Those look a LOT like Crown Vic headlights... but it can't possibly be that cop that had someone pulled over, he would have had to run back to his car and fly up the hill.... but yet.... it sure does look like a cop car..... Make it a mile or so and the lights come on. Fork me, it is a cop..... but WTF did I do this time?? Of course, he throws on the lights on a section of road with no shoulder - I mean there is a curb on both sides and a guard rail. I know there is an entrance to a housing plan up just a lil way and I'm hoping that he doesn't get mad for me going up to there to get off the road. Pull in there and stop, he comes up and does the license/reg/insur deal, then says that he pulled me over for a couple reasons....

1) I have a headlight out. (I explain it's just covered in mud).
2) Can't read my license plate (too much mud, lol).

I apologize at that point before he can spit out any other things and say that I was out with a group off-roading and on my way home, haven't had a chance to wash it off yet, but I was playing around with my 2wd a bit. Guy gets a Wha??? look on his face and steps back to look at the mud covered truck with mud tires out the back and AT tires on the front with black steelies. Then he goes "Are you serious?? You were off-roading a 2wd??" lol.... Yup.

Then he goes, well, let me check your headlights and I'll let you go, just be careful and clean the mud off the lights and plate when you get home. Then he stands 10' in front of my truck and tells me to turn on the lights before I could warn him.... thought about it a second, sighed, and pulled on the Silverstars...... his clipboard didn't work well for shielding his eyes and he immediately said "yup, they work, turn 'em off" and wished me a good night as he stumbled past my truck back to his cruiser, lol. Felt kinda bad, those lights were pretty bright on that truck....

Drove my 88 for 15 yrs. Probably stopped 50times. Headlight covers, Tint(approx. 10 times),Headlights too bright?, fuzzy dice, No bumper(rollpan),too close to the yellow line, then too weeks later, same town, same cop, too close to the white line! No licence plate light(15yrs, still dont have one on it:),No speeding tickets(its a 88 ranger),several burnies, and the most of all, exhaust...headman header, 2 1/2 into glasspack.....my favorite.

The only thing I don't understand is the fuzzy dice lol.

I know you aren't allowed in most places to dangle reflective or overly sized things from your mirror, but who passed a law forbidding the most iconsin mirror ornimant xD

Michigan, My mom got me dice for christmas when i was 17. The funny thing is in a 88, when they were on the mirror they actually hung in front of the radio, below the dash pad. "obstructed view". I actually was so curious, I got some matching ones for my sho, and never got stopped in the 6 yrs I drove it.

Fuzzy Dice obstruct view like Rosie O'Donnell hates cake.

I have a pair til the cheap things literally fell off one day. Now all I got is my graduation tassle and a bandana from a lady friend. I need a new pair and some more fresh pinetrees lol

The two most memorable times ive been pulled over were:

1: 4 am maryland, 4 friends in the car, after randomly driving up to times square. I was going 107 in a 50 and apparently passed 4 cops, was to tired to notice, though after I got my ticket I did notice 4 of em sittin behind me.

2: goin 56 in a 25...I was drifting around a 80 degree turn in the mustang, when I notice the cop sitting on the other side, Surprisingly he just gave me a warning, he said he was glad I stopped, seeing as he had to turn around to pull me over. Back roads lots of winding turns, lots of places to hide/get away. I got lucky both times, could have been cited for reckless driving and lost my license right then and there!

Just got 3 tickets tonight on the way home from work. Gotta love it. One of my HID's was out and had my fogs on and he first pulled me over for my headlight being out and telling me about my fogs are to bright and shouldn't be on unless it's foggy. Then he gets me for window tint, then another one for windshield tint. So after sitting on the side of the road and turning back on my headlights. Both headlights start to work then. Gotta love New Mexico. I miss Florida.
