Gt-12

a turbo like that would have to lean out to the side a bit and with two of them well, let me say if the piping ever failed you would take off.

actually that would be cool:D

i don't need to see.....everyone else just has to get out of my way.

Tach face should not be too difficult. If you can find a car that has a tach that will match, take a photo, resize it to the size you need and print it on a laser printer. If you can't find a match locally, put up a photo of the speedo and someone on here will surely have a tach somewhere that will be a close match. Other alternative is to get one photo shopped, there are some good photo shop guys on this site who I'm sure would be up to the challenge.
Wow, sixty liter tank. That's bigger than it looks, you'll be able to get to the gas station and back, as long as you stay off the skinny pedal.

i thought of going with the photo idea, but there are many other little details that make the look right besides the face markings.i'm going to look for an original tach,if i can find a used one, good.if not,i'll blow the 4 beans on a new one and rip it apart to change out the guts.

i'll have to look at it every time i get in this thing,if it's not right it'll just piss me off.

i thought theres no way that tank could be 60 litres, but i did the math two more times, and got the same answer.it must be.
still,it'll be no highway cruiser.

It'll be the coolest "gas getter" around! :D

well,i was just poking around on ebay...plenty of original tachs for reasonable prices there.:icon_thumby:

one less thing to worry about.

Gotta' love eBay.

been thinkin, they should just put all your builds as stickies in the fab forum.

lil bob thinks that is a cool alarm clock btw, i was gonna start an engine in the dining room last winter....but uhhh...got broomed out of that one ;)

i had to wait till the wife and kids were out of the house.
still got attitude about the gas smell when she came back, though.

don't think i learned my lesson,though:D

what smell?:icon_confused:

actually,it was pretty bad.since the chokes were closed, there was a pretty good build up of gas in the intakes.took a while to dissipate.i tried covering the motor with a towel, and bags over the carbs, but that only reduced it a bit.

it'll be nice when i get this thing out of the house so i can warm it up properly.

did some welding on the tank today.the recess on the top is where the fuel outlet and guage sender will go.the rear interior floor panel will sit right on the tank,so nothing can stick up on it.i still need to put the fill tube in.

also got the sidepipes ordered today,as well as the u-bends to make the left header.

Nice job on the Alum. welds..............I love to weld that stuff!
