Just Plain Stupied

I was going to say something about the heater being hooked to it too due to the huge amounts of snow they get down in the south :icon_rofl: but forgot too :icon_twisted:

Well if you already have 1 air duct running to the cup holder it should function well for heater or cooler, just flip the heat control.

yep.....I get a chill just thinkin about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hows this for a chill retro 80s paint...

relax M M........the V A dru........errr...meds make my eyes sensitive to bright colors and bright lights.....

doorgunner thanks for the help. I have another question. Whats the measurement between the top of the frame and the bottom of the body?

looking at the side of the cab......straight down below the front door post.....2 &3/4" from the bottom of the cab floor to the top of the frame-rail....

and....... straight below the door rear post........5 & 3/4" form the bottom of the floor to the frame (keep in mind that I have the extended cab)

I can see how you could easily re-attatch the cab mounts 1 or 2 inches lower than what I did by temporarily drilling new holes & bolting the mounts back onto the frame/that would give the body a super--low look if that's what you're after.....

I used the original rubber bushings(grommets) between the body and the cab floor...that was a lot easier than buying--cutting in half new rubber bushings like the manual said!!!!

then temporarily attach the cab to the mounts to keep the body from shifting/sliding around while you're bolting the radiator brace/grill/hood sides/fenders/etc in place & getting them lined up...

It's importan t to get the cab square on the chassis first though....

then make sure the radiator brace is square by using a carpenter's square/rebend the brace if necessary by just using your arms & legs--

then clamp the radiator bracket in place on the metal plates that you bolted to the frame on the left & right frame rails(it's a lot easier & safer to mount the large radiator support(brace) without the radiator bolted to it as I learned the hard way....it's easier to work with).....

then get the radiator bracket equal distance from both sides of the frame & equal distance from the top corners of the radiator bracket to the firewall using the hood length measurement as a starting point...

DG you forgot the most important part of the build process. Take plenty of drugs while you do the build, or it'll be over way too soon and you can't enjoy it!

Topher......now, now!

They're called Medication!

Annnnnnd, because of them (Medication), I have been able to do each mofification.....errrr....modification......EDIT: (AT) least 3 times before I got them ALMOST right.

I will have to go back over everthing and finalize each nod....modification so they don't look like a 5th grader built the truck!

For example: the A/C is charged and working great...it's just that the unit is still laying on the passengr's side floorboard along with the controls & wiring bundles....today could possibly be the day it gets installed in the dash & all the wiring gets ty-wrapped under the dash along the firewall.....MAYBE.....

kinda like when I post something....i usually edit the post 2, 0..........where's the .......ohhh, heRe it is.....the R key.....i usually edit the post 2 oRRRRRRRRRRRRR 3 times before I leave it alone....

EDIT: Ohhhhhh.......there's more good news....I have to go th....to the V.A. clinic this coming week to see if I'm suffering from the effects of AGENT ORANGE !!!!!!!!!.......o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o..........google it.....it's really some GREAT STUFF....it kills everything but ROCKS!
(EDIT: sorry about the YELLING, but i got losttt...lots of anger issues)

Life is rough......it's even rougher when you're STUPIED !
