I just got thru replacing the 4 rear pb cables (both sides) hardware and actuator on the pass side. The lower bolt that holds the caliper in place won't tighten. Threads on the bolt look good and it seem to be going in to the bracket. What gives? I think it tight went I took it apart a few days ago but I could be wrong.

Just clarifying, this isn't a slide pin bolt, its the lower caliper bracket bolt?

Edit: oh, which truck is this, year model etc?

It's a 2011 base model, 2.3L Duratec with a 4.10 8.8 diff. The top bolt holds the caliper to the rear axle via a cast iron bracket. It also has a vibration dampener attached to it. The problem bolt (lower one) is the complementary to it. Both do have a steel sleeve and rubber boots at the ends that they slide thru. Hope this clears up my previous description. https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-motorcraft-disc-brake-caliper-bracket-brbpb5 It's bolt #13 . What it screws into is #10
