I been looking into doing an explorer 8.8 swap for my ranger, and I wanted to see if I can buy the differential with the 4.10 gears. I found a differential under the part number M-4204-F318C, but it didn't say if it was on the explorer, just that it had a 4.10 gear, traction lok, and the 31-spline axle. But over on bronco graveyard it said it was in the explorer, but not on the ford performance website, can you guys help me out here.
here are the links

I don't understand. That's an 8.8 31 spline Trac-Lok. Could be used with any 8.8 gears.

I understand, its just that the ford listing on the ford performance only had it under the mustang parts not the explorer parts so I wasn't sure if it could work with the other 8.8s considering there is the 8.8 had 28, 31, and 34 spline, with various difference especially with the newer 34 spline.

The 8.8 comes in 28 and 31 spline versions. The 34 spline version is called the "Super 8.8"
