Adjusted my intermittent band torqued to 10ft lbs, and backed off 2 full turns and locked the nut down, now truck won't shift out of 1st without letting off the gas and od light is flashing?

I'm curious what problem you were trying to correct by adjusting the bands. At any rate, I'm sure you know this, but iirc second gear on that transmission is first gear with overdrive applied - so that's probably why the OD light is flashing. Did you adjust anything else other than that one band?

No I just adjusted the band

May be barking up the wrong tree here but any chance any electrical connectors got disturbed while you were working on it?
Does it eventually shift into second after you let off the throttle?

Only shifts to second when up around 3000rpm and only when I let off the gas it will drop in

Update: re adjusted the band, I had 4 rusty looking threads sticking out spun it in two turns left 2 threads hanging out, and now I'm atleast back into spec got all my gears and no OD light flashing at me, not sure why it was out of whack when I tightened it down to 10 ft lbs and backed off two full turns and locked my nut down, I'm 99% sure that is the correct procedure, correct me if I am wrong.

Glad to hear it. Yeah, that procedure rings a very loud bell - sounds right to me. Not sure I have the correct picture in my head but rusty threads will definitely throw off a torque reading so maybe you were just way too loose (on the band) the first time?

That's what I've chalked it up to myself, rusty threads making it tight not spinning freely through the lock nut
