kunar's turbo 1st gen

Where do u tie it down to?and do u have a pic of the rangers shock and what they actually call it?

I like the chain idea, i was thinking about a turnbuckle but if you did it right, a chain would allow some movement without letting it go too far. Might be kinda loud with all that chain rattling around, but it's probably not gonna be especially quiet anyways.

I had to chop up the air box, it was all melty from the proximity to the turbo. Well, i had to make room for a valve cover anyways. I've got my "proof of concept" 3d printed airbox patch done. I'm pretty sure the air box is some sort of filled polypropylene, which you just can't glue or solvent weld, so the current plan is to use rivets with silicone or something underneath. I'll have to print one out of something a little more resiliant, but the test piece looks good IMO.

Looks good either way.what u can do with 3d printing now is crazy that's for sure.

I know this thread died off a long time ago. There was quite some time the truck sat in my garage, collecting dust, while waiting for me to get back to it. I worked on it a little here and there, slowly making progress, but mostly my time was tied up in other things. This spring, i decided i needed to get it done, i wasn't going to go another summer without driving the ranger. I got the wiring all wrapped up, faught with some ECU issues but did end up being able to use the factory ECU with a modified factory harness. I had swapped in 95-97 ranger beams a year or two ago, and bought sport trac rotors, but needed to figure out how to get my calipers to bolt up around the bigger rotor. I'll have to go through my phone and find pics, maybe i'll try to condense the past few years into a couple posts here for you all, but for now, i leave you with a grainy screenshot.

Glad to see you'll be enjoying that truck this summer.
