What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Lincoln & I ran errands in The Road Ranger. Man, if I had it to do over again, the AC would’ve been first. What was I thinking?

Not very efficient for errands though, every time I stop I get into a 15-20 minute conversation about “did you build this?” Not efficient, but good for the ego.

Hopefully this will solve the stumble when I let go of the transbrake. Truck wouldn't fall out of a tree since we put in the new convertor and started launching at a lot higher RPM. Our 60 foot was a pathetic 1.89 when it really should be 1.50 something.

Check valves for something?

well... got the garage cleaned out enough to stick the Ranger in it, so this week/ weekend I will be replacing brakelines, mastercylinder, and booster. stay tuned.

And Uncle Gump ain't the only one putting in a Midland GMRS system... After brakework is done, this baby is going in the Ranger (Just got it today!):

Look at that tiny whip antenna... also the headset Mike combos will work with the vehicle unit as well...

Took it to donate plasma and rescued it after fixing the issue finally. Did a sweet little burnout too, nothing crazy just happy I got power and no misfire 💕

That's the same radio I have @97RangerXLT

Pretty sure I have the same set of hand heads too. I won those a few years back at a trail ride.

I have the same radios. Since the 2019 hasn't been rigged for anything other than power port operated radios yet, I'm bring the handhelds just incase there is too much system generated noise. Though, the 2019 doesn't seem to be the RF generator that the 2011 is.

As far as the antenna, I've seen reviews that it is actually a pretty decent antenna for what it is. It should get the job done well enough.

Your 2004 had too much plasma? You drained some and then it ran better? Are you speaking in code? I don’t understand…

Blackout lighting is great! You can’t even see the driver seat!

I have loops of wire like that all over everything I’ve modified. I never know what I’m going to do next, so I always pull a half a dozen extra wires and just curl them up wherever it’s convenient.

I thought of painting them with rustoleum so they would fade in a little bit, but then I wouldn’t know which wire was which.

I even leave the extra on the things I connect for modification later or in case something doesn’t work right which happens on a regular basis with my strobe lights and such

With the price of good wire these says... I try not to put more wire then necessary.

Jim posted this tool awhile back... if you don't have one... you NEED one. Makes shorter work of running wire through existing body grommets. I was able to put three 16 AWG wires through it at one time. Then when ya pull the tool out... the grommets form back around the wire. Priceless!

wow, looks great! If I get one of those, I won’t have to keep re-tuning my radio antenna.

Imagine not electric, not biofuel or corn gas.
But a plasma combustion engine... Now that's a spaceship!
