How does that shrouded fan setup work for u? I read that shrouding it will overheat if your riding on the turnpike.have any issues with over heating at all?
A shroud makes the fan more effective. I've got a Derale reverse rotation flex fan that's pretty aggressive but isn't noisy. I wanted an electric fan but couldn't find one that would move enough air and fit between the water pump and radiator, even after putting the radiator inside the core support. I've pinned my 85 mph speedometer without overheating. Idling for 20-30 minutes at mid 90's with the air on caused it to get hotter but not overheat. Bringing it up to 1500 or so cooled it right down.

Walt has never had an overheating issue with anything. Not even that one time he drove a Chevy.
Just for the record, my first vehicle was a 52 Chevy, I also had a 66 Corvair, 55 Chevy, 64 Malibu SS, 65 Malibu wagon, 2 66 Implala's-one I drove and one was an engine donor for the oil burning 65,000 mile Malibu, a 67 Camaro, 67 Corvette. I will also admit to owning 9 VW beetles. I will plead guilty to being young and dumb, the first is no longer true and the second is improving. I Hope.

What is your donor engine from? I c they make fans pretty thin now that they say pulls over 2000 cfm

And yes it has a shroud.

Custom engine bay "paint" job?

That looks real nice. Has a custom "splatter" effect. Custom without looking too gaudy or overdone.
Looks just like dirt and mud. Professionally done or was it DIY ? ;missingteeth;
DIY. I went all the way to Indiana to get the right color.
