Whoa! Please share the details with us fools!
Got something in the mail today

NOS??

That's the one. My car will be white. I have the body kit and a 2.5 Duratec engine for it. It'll get done one day.
By far my favorite 2.5 build I've ever found:

Very cool! Mine is the 4 cylinder though; same block as the 2.3

And yep it's NOS. Didn't come with the lights but I found some that will look the part

NOS is the best way to go! Looks awesome!

Still needs a ton of finish work to make it all fit right but here's the 2011 mirror mounted.

That does seem like a lot of work to mount a mirror!

Mirror looks good though!

Pulled the cab to mount a mirror? A bit extreme, don’t you think?

Well to be technical, I bought another ranger, pulled the cab off of that one, stripped it down and did a bunch of body work to it all so I could mount a mirror :icon_bounceblue:

Slowly slogging away with the body work. It's not my favorite thing.

Cab, doors and fenders are done. Hood and bed are left aaaaaaaaaand the bed has about a million dents in it.

And we have primer! Starting on the bed next week

I used about 150 studs to pull all these out, and the other side of the bed is worse. Fun times!

The top isn't perfectly straight, so I think I'll put on some black bed caps or maybe top it with bed liner

Sprayed the hood, doors and fenders today in oxford white. I had some trouble getting my gun adjusted and ended up with a bunch of runs on the fenders so I'll have to re-do them

ooh, shiny!

One of these days it'd be nice if my '90 was straighter, but then again it's nice not caring so much driving through the woods...

Looks awesome. What kind of paint are you using? Single stage?

You're gonna be done painting yours way before I finish with mine I think.

Yeah after all this work I'm not sure how often I'll go wheeling, at least where scratches and dents are a possibility.

Yeah single stage urethane. It's very forgiving and flows very nicely.

I blocked and primed everything a good 2-3 times. Used a 2k urethane primer. The doors and bed - which I've yet to spray, weren't straight at all, so lots of block sanding with 400 and then 600 helped. I'm happy with how the doors and hood came out. A little polishing and it should look pretty good. Sprayed it in my garage and as a result there's some dust and a couple craters, but it looks good from 2 meters away.

I'm hoping to have it all sprayed before next weekend. We'll see if everything goes well!
