2.5L ('98-'01) 2000 2.5l wont start

Next time put a socket on a breaker bar and place the bar against the bottom of the passenger side frame rail and bump the starter, should work... that's more torque than pretty much anything else aside from a big impact and an inertia socket...
That was over 10 years ago when I only had an air impact. My 3/8 DeWalt impact fits in there as well as many others these days.

I herd of people doing that to break the bolt lose, but it isn’t my truck and my luck it would break something. I use the pull a plug and stuff rope in the hole, it never fails me

But I have another question, I got all the timing and water pump replaced. I was going to check and made sure it was right before putting AC, power steering. Alt back on but it didn’t start. It sounded right when I cranked it. Dose the alt. Have to be plugged in to power the ign? I don’t know it’s to hot to worry about it tonight

No, alternator shouldn't have to be plugged in to work. You did put the crank pulley on, right? The crank sensor works off of that. They really don't like running if the cam sensor isn't aligned right which is on the aux pulley on the drivers side which looks to be the diamond mark pointing roughly upward. If it sounds right cranking I would suspect the cam and crank are lined up right...

I bet I didn’t plug the crank sensor back in
