So I got this 2010 ford ranger sport 4x4 or as the sticker on the door it says "level 2". Anyway the truck has manual locks and roll down windows but on the ford 2010 brochure it said the sport 4x4 comes with power windows and locks. I am confused as to if the doors are original or it was just a ranger that came with manual locks and windows? I do plan on getting power locks for the truck and wondering if you guys have any advice before I buy one and install them.

Thanks Tau.

Have a dealer run an Oasis report and printout the list of original equipment as a starting point.

My 06 sport has power locks, windows and mirrors.

Walt said it... that will give you as built data then you can determine what if anything has been changed.

You can go to MonroneyLables.com and for a few bucks, they will look up and provide the original window sticker for your vehicle. Its by vin/make/year, and is specific to your vehicle. Window sticker will have what equipment/standard/options it came with.
Cost a few bucks but worth it if you want paper work on your truck.
Did it for my 2009 and printed off a few copies to keep in paper trail folder.

There was no "Level II" anything in 2010 that I know of... so IMO it already has evidence of somebody adding stickers to it.

My '11 XLT has Sport stickers on the bed. No idea who put them on but it's definitely not a Sport. :dunno:

2007 was the last year of the FX4 Level II as a model

2008 - 2009 Ranger could have "Level II" decals on the doors, if its a 4x4 and had some Level II options added
2010 - 2011 had no FX4 model, the Sport 4x4 was the "off-road" package, and could also have the "Level II" decal on the door if it had some of those options added

Any Ranger model could come without power windows and power door locks, buyers choice
XLT models had "power group" as standard but could also be ordered without it

Yes, +1 on using your VIN to get specifics on how the vehicle came from Ford to the dealer

Thanks guys,
I am going to see if i can get the dealer to help out with the Oasis report Oasis report, if that doesn't work I will try MonroneyLables.com. I will tell you what I find.

The United States discontinued the FX4 in 2009, Canada in 2010. In either case, checking the title, if its an FX4 it will say so as the vehicle model.

Being that you said it's a sport, I would assume that's what the title says. If the paint is faded differently between the doors and the cab then the doors have been replaced. If the paint is the same, then it's probably a sticker that was added to the original doors.....

My guess would be a door replacement if the truck really is a sport model
