Rebuild Issues with a 2004 M5R1 transmission.


I did order the lower cluster gear, and the input shaft that broke, along with the input shaft bearing and a few other related gizmos. I can put it back together, but not with the new brass rings like I wanted the gears look great.
 
Transmissions transmit rotating force from the engine to the differential.
 
Nothing is ever truly broken except the self.
 
Did anyone come up with a solution for the 2004 M5R1-HD (Tag 1L54-HB)? Can an older M5R1 be used as an alternate?
