PlumCrazy's Build

Both...normally it has good bit of rake, but that load leveled it out.lol The front appears to be higher than normal actually.

Forgot to share this... hauled some more junk home from the old shop this past weekend...its like a truck, but gets 30+mpg

I loaded more on top too, but the bulk of the load was transmissions, diffs, drill press, axles, etc.lol

I see the TK5 in there.:D

All weak links need eliminated. I learned that the hard way.

Speaking of which what do you have for a carrier?

Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

Stock 4.09 carrier. Mini spooled...if anything lets loose inside the axle I will go 4.89 and full spool.lol

Yeah... Get rid of that carrier. My oem carrier was what let loose in mine. Took out a set of Richmond gears, and broke the housing, didn't hurt my shafts though.

If that happens Ill go HP 44 or 60...

You have a low pinion? I broke my low pinion in 5 trips, stripped the ring and pinion, switched to high pinion and it was much better.

I have two chipped teeth and a stock cross pin too.....

Im not to hard on it normally. I let the doubler to its thing.

I don't think being hard on it is the issue, just driving off road with large tires is what did mine in. The design of a low pinion pushes the ring gear away from the pinion under load. The high pinion is opposite, the ring gear is pulled into the pinion.

If it were me, I wouldn't put more money into a low pinion if you are already planning on it breaking.
