visual differences between 145 and 146 ?

I am going to pick up a trans hopefully tomorrow, How can I tell the difference in a 145 and 146 manual ? are there any visual differences that are obvious ?

I saw this earlier, but when you click on the blue link its the same for both trannys. Im hoping that the 146 is longer behind the shifter.

The 145 has a pyramid-shaped shifter tower. The 146 has a circular shifter that bolts to the top.

The drawings right above the "blue link" are very accurate... You can see quite a difference in the tail section.

Thanks guys ! I drove 150 miles one way and scored pedal assembly, the right trans (5 speed fm146) new clutch, pressure plate, shifter, spacer, throw out bearing, slave, master cylinder, switches and the guy threw in another transfer case !! for 400 dollars. oh and a aftermarket drive shaft for the rear ! sweet! Man the guy had about 8 mustangs,4 fox bodys and divers others. he had a stv cobra that had been rolled that all the parts would fit mine !! I told him I would call in a couple months, hehe. Funny the guy had a house with tyvek and no siding and you could tell it had been awhile, but it was in a country club ! lol. he has so many mustangs, four wheel drive vehicles, etc, laying around his back 20 acres ! I said what the heck, how did you accumulate all these toys!! he just laughed.
