Disc brakes are nice. My pedal is rock hard and she stops on a dime. Just gotta get the parking brake hooked up again.

Werent we going to try for the badlands this year? Im thinking about going to the 4 wheel jamboree in Indy this september, but not sure yet.
 
I'll be down there every trec race. End of august, after labor day, first weekend in October.

Sounds about the same to me for going to the badlands, I need to put new bushings on my front end, new rotors, brakes, etc... whole nine yards mechanical wise on the suspension and whatnot before having some real fun with the truck.

Maybe you two can meet up somewhere when Kyle is on his way down to the badlands so that you can snag the t-case off of him.
 
Good news. Got the ok from my lovely wife to get the truck fixed. Taking the money from her savings. She doesn't want me to buy another vehicle to just have it sitting around. So within the next 4 to 6 weeks I should have the money in hand for all the parts the truck needs to get it where it needs to be.

the brakes and backing plates are the only difference. both 31 spline with a 3.25" tube

Are thy all 7/8" or 3/4"

They're ALL 7/8". Only ones that were 3/4" were the early ones in the F150's.
 
that's a good question, my drum 8.8 came with an open diff and my disc 8.8 came with a L/S so i dont really recall. i'm pretty sure they were both 3/4" pins.

EDIT-brink may be right there, i have my open carrier apart on the kitchen table, if only i were there
