07 xlt door alarm...

I have a door ajar alarm with light on dash that comes on randomly and goes off when I pull the door closed. It has the second door on the back and I cant see where I can adjust this so it closes tighter. Cant find any youtubes on it at all...
Any help will be appreciated cuz its a PITA...Fred

I wonder if the switch is built into the latch like the larger trucks? If so, a trick that helps them is to douse the door latch with WD40 while working it. Flooding it seems to work on the larger pickups.

Looks like there's connector 526 that might have a bad connection or corrosion. Worst case you could jump it but your dome light might not automatically turn on anymore

From the diagram above it does look like ajar switch is embedded in the latch mechanism. There must be a mechanical issue with the latch hitting the switch, why the wd40 works on the larger trucks. Don't know if it would fix your little truck or not.
