When the omniscient geniuses required the use of 134, I think that manufacturers used evaps and condensers with with longer tubes/ more passes to allow for more heat rejection/absorption. This being the case, I had replaced my compressor and acc/dryer, charged it up, only to have the 134 leak out due to the bad hoses. while I am in the mode, is there an explorer/ranger that would have more efficient heat exchangers?
Thanks in advance

The condenser you have now is the same exact one used in all 1990-1994 RBVs. All 1994 RBVs had R134a right from the factory too. I think you'd be fine just staying with your stock condenser. I converted my 92 Honda Accord to R134a last year, used the stock condenser, and I still get 42 degrees out of the vents.

As near as i can find all explorer/ranger up to 94 used all the same parts.
if you live in 105 deg heat thy have severe heat orifice tubes. I hear the variable ones that help cool at idle, not sure if thy help and are a lot more expensive.
I have also read that a electric push fan can help keep the air moving at idle and that helps cooling too.

I shot my B2 up with 134 last year and it worked fine until it all leaked out.

Severe duty, um, yeah...

Living in South Louisiana, it was 95* in the shop today, and just hot. Severe duty orifice sounds good. I just looked on Parts geek, and the evaps are the same Motorcraft part...An electric fan is in my future anyway, as I need to get better mileage... What is a good junkyard fan for the rangers?
just trying to see what can be done to improve a/c performance!
