My Bronco 2

welp, its on all 4's.. drove it twice so far.
my drive shaft is vibrating a little, no biggie.

thing that scares me is when i first let off the gas and the truck is coasting i have a noise. why? any reason this could be?

i love the 4.56 combo w the 4.0 and 33's!! its perfect gear (or so it seems, i've only drove it twice)

Could you describe the ruckus sir?

If humming, could be gears or the noise from the vibration.

You'd love a D35, 4.56, Aussie, and Stoncrusher arms to match it wouldn't ya?

how doe's your pinion angle look with the angle of your driveline to your t/c, wrong angle will cause a vibration when you coast.

Noise is hard to describe.. Almost like a rotation rattle, but only when coasting. And only sometimes when coasting. Not even all the time....

Pinion angle is great.
Pics to come when it's not pouring down rain

Dustin, go to time out... If I didn't already have gears and install kit; id buy your axle in a heartbeat. If I thought I could get some more out of my gears.. I'd still buy it! Even UFO lost a little money, the work is done already! Lol.

About the noise; idk what to do yet. I wish I knew a way to tell of it was driveshaft or diff for sure.

I did have a pic... Looks likes other pic I posted. I'll take more pics ofthe axle later

Shock mounts are awesome like that.. Ruffstuff cover is awesome!
Disc brakes are awesome. 4.56's awesome. See a theme here??

I need to rebuild my driveshaft tho....

hard to tell in the pics...but did you weld up the tubes too?

Anybody notice the gap on the bottom passenger side u-bolt and the axle tube? The ubolt isnt holding anything at all. That creating axle wrap and probably your problem. Need to tighten the ubolts down more.

Agreed. You need to be real careful with the auto parts store u-bolts and aluminum blocks. I went through 3 sets of ubolts and 2 sets of blocks because they are crap.

What leafs do you have?

Leafs are stock with add a leaf.
The blocks are NOT aluminum.
And the u bolts did not come from the zone.
That's all RC stuff. My new ubolts are on the way. This is mentioned earlier in the thread. Lol.

I'm working on trying to find something for rear leafs to replace those

Me too. We don't have the option for 63s very easily.

Me too. We don't have the option for 63s very easily.

yeah i know.... i've been talking to a buddy at rough country about measurements and stuff, but everything keeps coming back to we have the longest leafs that are readily avaible (other than 63's) so idk what to do... he's looking into trying to find some the same length that i have now just w/ a better arch and better flex. its cool to have friends in the right places.

i like my add a leaf bastard pack when daily driving or towing my 4wheelers but they are a little stiff for offroad. it helped reduce the sway when daily driving and towing its obvious why i like them. right now i'm not running a rear sway bar and i actually can't tell the difference.

oh and btw: i will tighten those u-bolts again when i get home... or when i get to Spyder Offroad this afternoon. we got a lift party going on!!
