2007 Ranger Speedometer calibration

I've changed my gear ratio. The total change is 15%. How do I get the speedometer calibrated?

The Ford dealer MAY be able to reprogram it for that gear change (especially if that gear ratio was available stock). You'll have to ask them.

yes. having ford do it after large tires will run the risk of a voided warranty. my local dealer will void for miss use or excessive wear. even if you not there for a claim. once they see it altered, its one click and its smoke. now, if you have no warranty, head to ford.

but yes, superchips programmer is the best way. and considering what you can do with them, its not a bad idea.

the other easy way is put the tire size that will bring the stock ratio back. what ratio do you have now.

No change in tires. Just went from 3.73 to 4.30 gearing.

Wow, sounds like you need to find a new dealer. We work on modified trucks all the time and rarely try to void anyones warranty unless they are obviously abusing it or it is too far modded to work correctly. BTW they can't void your warranty unless they can PROVE your mods caused the problem. The only time I can remember recently not warrantying a repair due to mods was on a Super Duty with a smoked transmission that was running 37s and the owner admitted to towing a 25,000 lb trailer with it on a daily basis.

Not a big deal, you just need to know the gear ratio and revs per mile of the tires that are on it. If you have a gear ratio that was not offered from the factory it would make it tougher though.
