Never did show off my other truck on this site. Nothing pretty, but like the Ranger, I've got some plans for it.

1995 Dodge Ram 1500 SC SB 4X4 5 speed manual 5.2 318:

I plan on getting a ladder rack here soon, a new bumper, 33's, "beaner wing", tint the windows, a new stereo, and that's pretty much it. It's the work truck, so I don't need a whole lot done for it.

Anyway, felt like sharing.

Forgot to post that picture!

Result of the hill climb (a week later):

Once it snows a little, I'll be heading back up that road to check it out again. From that way, you can see one of the mountains in Glacier National Park.

How's the mpg?
I get that question a lot. And people don't believe me when I tell them.

I've been getting 17-19. I do almost ALL highway driving, and my top speed is usually 55 or 60, depending on which highway I am on. My speedo IS accurate.

The worst gas mileage I have gotten with it is 14, but that was during the winter with a ton of idling when I first got it. Best was 19.8.

Lately, I've been getting 17, though, and I think with an oil change, I could get a little better.

It still hurts to fill up the thing at $80 a tank, though.

My stepmom has a 97 with the 5.9 (i think) and last I knew she was getting about 15-17. Which now that I think about it is what my 2.9 gets. Damn.

Me too. Double Damn.

Killer Dodge dude, my buddy had one, got about 16 or so. His 5.9 seemed to have pretty decent power, I was impressed.

Thanks.

Not a big fan of the engine I have, as it's gutless, but it gets the job done, and I can't complain about the mileage.

In fact, just checked the mileage on the Ranger (not running correctly). 15.34 MPG's on the last tank. Normally, I see 20 with it. Definitely need to work on it, lol.

I love full size, man. I love my Ranger, but considering it being an extended cab, and my Ram being a single, I can fit practically the same amount of crap in both.

I once had 6 people in the cab of the Ram. Still doesn't beat my record of 13 people in my old 4Runner. LOL!

first thing is if your going to get a ladder rack get a system one hands down, especially if your worried about mpg. I have one and i use it 3-5 times a week with things of varying weight and it handles is great. the second is what is a beaner wing?

Hahaha, I was looking at the system ones. That's the setup I was going to get, too.

And a beaner wing is a visor.
