Post Clogged Cat

what are the syptoms of a clogged cat, does it feel like no power and when you give it gas it doesent want to go faster? Also can the back pressure of a clogged cat make it sound sucking (blowing pressue).

Thanks

Really it will just bog down under load from my experience. You'll mainly notice it on top end. I'm sure some other guys will chime in with their experience.

i had a 99 astro van, the cat became clogged after 290,000 miles, i could go no faster than 40 mph floored, after running it you can take one of those IR temp meters and the temp should be really high or even glowing, basically, a major loss of power will happen

Although, my 94 4.0 did the same thing and it turned out to be a weak fuel pump
