I bought aftermarket gauges ( transmission temp, voltmeter and oil pressure). Wanted my mechanic to install them on the engine side and I would do the dashboard side. He didn't want to do the job and said he was afraid of screwing up the computer. I took it to two Ford dealers and they wouldn't do it either. The first one didn't want the job because of the computer. The second dealer said should not be a problem with the computer but were not interested because of liability. Is this really a big deal? I'm thinking of going to a hot rod shop or body shop next. Any input? Thanks

Are they mechanical or electric? Are they half sweep or full sweep if they are electical?
