Not a major deal, but the springs I bought from sdspring just arrived. They were not in a cardboard box or anything. The dropped them on the front door and gone. The shipping labels are just stuck on the springs???? once I get them on the truck I will rattle can the scratches.:icon_confused:

Nothing unusual there, often big/heavy parts get shipped loose like that because something like a leaf spring is big and heavy enough that you have to use a really heavy box and fiberglass reinforced tape or its likely to come out anyway. Easier to just slap a shipping label on it and send it out

Leaf springs and tires have always shipped to me that way. No big deal about the scratches, usually the paint on them is really low quality anyway.

Yeah, it is extremely common for springs to ship loose like that with the labels slapped onto the part itself.

Big stuff like that probably wouldn't stay in a box unless it was a crate.

Not like much in a delivery truck is going to really hurt them anyway.

Ordered some S. African surplus ammo, each can weighed about 60#s. Somehow they got the cans wrapped in cardboard and put a label on them.

UPS guy was not happy.

One time my brother came to visit. His daughter was a baby at the time. He thought it would be funny to put a crappy diaper in my car. I found it, boxed it up and sent it ups ground back to him.
