What's the secret to disconnecting the main connector on the 4r44e transmission. I want to test some circuits but am having trouble seeing how to get the connector separated. I don't want to break it. Thanks.

Pull the blue cover off, there is a 10mm bolt holding it together.

My credo
If you can’t fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem
No bolt on the E model. It has a metal bail that needs to be unlocked and then pull straight out on connector. If this is the connector you are referring too.

Thanks for your answers nad, yes, that is the right connector. I haven't been back under it this morning, but I'm hoping it has the bolt, not the metal bail. Is the bail hard to remove? There's not a lot of room to work.
