Will a lift kit on a '91 explorer work on my '88 Ranger? I found it at the local U-pull wrecking yard and wondered if it would work with out much difficulty?

It should be exactly the same.

Have you already upgraded to a D35?

Because if you haven't installing a lift kit is the perfect time to do so...

the front axle 88 has a dana 28, which is weaker than a dana 35 found in 91-97 rangers, 91-94 exploders, so a dana 35 is a popular swap since it bolts right up

Actually the Explorer front lift will work on your '88 no problem.
The REAR lift may or may not however, depending on what method was used to lift the Explorer (new leafsprings or AALs = works, you just have to flip the leaf centerpins over. If it used a flip kit (common on Superlift kits), then no workie on your Ranger)
