Why does my 2.3 sound like a tractor?

I know this video shows it being straight piped with a Cat Still on (my glasspack fell off), but even with a glasspack or a chambered muffler on, people eyeball me thinking i'm driving a John Deere or a Case Tractor in downtown. I've heard other 2.3s straight piped and it has a nice clean sound with the exception of it being very loud. (don't mind the shot up tailgate, i bought it for $150 and that came with the truck)

This is what it sounded like with the stock muffler that had rusted internals

What year is your truck? To me it sounds like a bad exhaust leak. But you probably checked the pipe for cracks and holes already

yep...I guess your radio doesn't work either...I can usually cover my exhaust noise by turning up the volume...can't do much about the fumes though...

Passengers in my truck get the full treatment...between the leaking exhaust filling the cabin with toxic fumes and the noise blasting from the sound system...most people decline the offer of a second ride...

I do have an exhaust leak from the manifold, but it's so small it's not that noticeable to make it sound like a tractor. Hell i even put a tailpipe on it to see if it was indeed coming from the exhaust and yup sure enough it was coming from the pipe. It probably doesnt help much that it's missing on 1 cylinder and my ring are fried which i just found out today

Ok, a leak after the muffler won't cause any noise. The end of the pipe is a huge leak, but it's after the muffler, so you don't hear it.

A misfire won't help anything though.
