You are brave and foolish towing a boat with a 1993 ranger. Although I did manage to get a few jet skis to the lake once in my '93 4.0 5 spd back in my 20's during the early 2000's. It was sketchy at best...one of those times I look back and wonder how I survived my youth. Cheers.
Dang, I bought mine in 06 and the young lady said about all they used it for at that time was for the 4WD when taking the boat to the lake

Crossed threads are tight threads.

Probably different perspectives. The roads and traffic out here is very unforgiving. Steep Grades as well. My Ranger barely makes it unladen.

So top off the fluid and keep on truckin.

The seal could be fine. It probably just blew out the vent.

My 89 did that four times on long trip at todays speeds a few years ago.

Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.
Before the repair I didn't drive over 30 mph when driving from my residence to the boat dock. I haven't driven it on a highway yet since the repair.

The seal could be fine. It probably just blew out the vent. And it's been a little over a year since the seals were repaired, so far so good.

My seals were shot, it definitely wasn't the vent.
