I was chatting with my friends last night about our trucks, and we all gave ours names. My truck's name is Mandy because she's a Mazda, my friend named his Frontier Sheba after a song, and my other friend named her F-150 Cynthia. What's your truck's name, and what's the inspiration behind it?

My credo
the grey-t escape
that ‘70’s truck or the johnny cash edition.
Since ive styled it in the theme of the ‘70’s and has many parts from various rangers, I built it “one piece at a time”.

Mine's the dinosaur

The young lady I bought it from had bought it at one year old, in Ashville S Carolina, when she was in school there. My first view of it was at 234000 miles, but still kept immaculate.
We had to do some switching things around, so got to spend a bit of time together.
She followed me to the bank, and I got the cash, then followed me on home and I left my rusty ol 88 there, then I rode back with her to swap things over.

Somewhere in there, I'm not sure exactly, she had mentioned the 12 years she'd had it and all the places they had been, and all the ones she had known most of her life, who had known her only with that truck.

And also at some point I asked if she had given it a name, and she told me her and her friends (12 years was still a LONG time to them at that point) had begun to call it the Dinosaur ;)

I accepted that as it was :)

Jane. She ain’t no RBV but she’s a big presence in the barn. 2012 F350 Super Duty 4x4 quad cab. I shopped for months to find her. I wanted all manual no power anything. Couldn’t find a manual transmission but. Manual windows and locks. Am/ fm radio. No cruse control. She’s my Plain Jane. Sammy Hagar for those not in the know.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I’m not really big on naming cars and trucks. The Ranger unofficially belongs to my dog. I’m not sure what she calls it. I often refer to the f250 as “the beast” and sometimes the “USS Bennerprise, CVN F250”

My first Ranger got tagged with “lil Blue” because it was just a lil truck parked next to my dad’s (at the time) two F-350 dumps named Blue and Ol Blue. I now own Blue and Ol Blue got sold off years ago as no longer needed and needing a bunch of attention. My 88 I tagged with Sh!tbrick because it was a POS and drove like a brick. That might get changed when I can get it rebuilt. My F-150 I tagged with Blue Ox because the mighty 300 in it with a stage 2 clutch and ZF5 trans gives me stupid torque. Haven’t really named the rest of my fleet yet because I’ve had trouble settling on a name.

94 ranger "big red" because it is red
05 f250 "the behemoth" because it is just really large compared to the ranger (super cab long bed truck)
11 escape "quick silver" because it is faster then the ranger and silver
04 escape "baby escape" because it looks smaller then the 11 escape (really about the same size)
