Hey all,

So I am looking for a new truck, since I recently had a run-in with a deer. This is what I'm looking at right now:

94 Ranger
Ext Cab
4x4, 4.0L
Power locks/windows
5 speed 214000km (132000 mi, for you American folk)
Warn winch on front

It looks to be in reasonable shape from the pics, no rust or major damage/dents.

So, my question of the hour: What do you pay for it?

Really, it's hard to say without seeing it... although myself, I wouldn't want to pay more than $3000 for a MINT one of that age. I'm talking like, toothpaste kind of mint.

Offer him $2,700.

When I bought my '94 three years ago (when it had 128,000 miles on it) I managed to get it for $2000. Then again, it need a few things, so for $2500, I got a nice little truck.

No more than $3000 if it is in really good shape.

Thanks guys! That gives me a better idea of the 'street value' for what I am looking for.

BTW the guy was asking... *drum roll* ... $4000

Yeah, I know it's way too much. And it sure wasn't minty fresh, either.

I'd say go up there and offer him 3 then. I mean if you think it's worth three, then you would pay three. An asking price is just that, remember. :icon_thumby:

On that note, I paid $2500 for my 92 with an odo reading of 342,xxx km, but there wasn't a lick of rust, even the core support is good!
