I had to cut the y pipe in order to remove my transmission. I could not get the flange bolts to come off so I felt the need to cut the pipe. Now I need to get the exhaust back together. Should I have the pipes welded back together on the truck? Or should I just get a new replacement y pipe? And if I get a new one, is it expensive to have the pipe ceramic coated?

Without seeing it, cheapest - I'd say get them welded while on the truck, longest lasting - get new.
