I have a 97 ranger 4.0 and i noticed my exhaust was loud. When i looked under the hood i seen this pipe with two holes in it where these pipes come into. Can any one tell me what its called. So i can replace it.

Looks like part of EGR system and DPFE sensor hoses

DPFE = differential pressure feedback
The DPFE sensor tells the computer if EGR valve is opening and how far it is open.
It measures exhaust pressure away from EGR valve on one hose and then closer to EGR valve on the other hose, and gets the "differential" pressure between the two hoses
