I am working on a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, and I need the diagram showing the wire colors involved in the fuel pump relay and pump itself, if it even exists.

This is information that Chrysler seems to have not bothered to write down, let alone issue in any sort of publication, as I cannot find it anywhere.

If anyone has access to AllData, or a similar service, particularly over the weekend, and could post the info that would be super helpful.

I am trying to bypass a failed fuel pump relay in the TIPM, and cannot find the wire functions. This van belongs to a single mother of 4 who is currently borrowing one of our cars while I work on this since it is her only vehicle.

Even is someone has installed the bypass kit Chrysler has and happens to know which wire is the one the PCM uses to ground the relay, that would be enough. I can work around all the rest of the factory wiring.

It's a Chrysler. setting it on fire and collecting insurance on it seems to be a reasonable solution.

And for a more helpful response... you might hop over to www.lxforums.com and ask one of the guys there... it is for the Charger/300/Magnum/Challenger line, but many of them are pretty knowledgeable on other FCA vehicles.

That forum is probably the closest car forum to TRS that I have found in terms of tech knowledge and quality of membership.

2009 Town and country but may be the Van version, and it looks WRONG, lol

The Brown wire should be on relay's 85, PCM control
And dark Blue/Org with fuse on relay 87, fuel pump power

EDIT:
First one is wrong, 3.3l version, found 3.8l version which looks right, but still 2009 not 2011

Ron, thank you very much. I think you hit the nail on the head here.

I watched the instructions for the install of the OEM kit, and it has you cut and abandon the brown wire.

The Haynes book runs 2008-2012, and I know this same module and repair kit fits those same years.

Ok, so update.

I hooked pin 85 to the brown wire called out in all the video instructionals on installing the MOPAR kit, hooked 86 and 87 straight to the battery, and 30 is jacked into an add-a-circuit adapter that is in the slot for the fuel pump fuse, which comes after the failed OE relay.

It runs, and is no longer flooding at idle the way it was before with my previous wiring setup, so it appears that I have successfully restored the computer's ability to control the fuel pump. It is basically a Ford fuel pump relay system now, which I know works well.

The problem with these TIPM integrated fuel pump relays is that they are too small. They aren't up to handling the load of the fuel pump.

My credo

find a fuel pump for the beast. the popped relay popped because the pump is drawing too many amps because it is pushing through a clogged filter. You see where this going? :D

No external filter on it, and the pump is fine. I was able to run it off my power probe without tripping the 10 amp breaker. Since the pump is fused at 20 amps it must be fine.
