hi guys, my friend has a 2000 ranger 4x4 extended cab with 4.0 litre automatic trans. (do not know the model of the trans.) truck has 227,000 miles on it,anyway the problem that he is having is when he is driving down the highway at cruising speeds (60-65) the transmission at times just feels like it kicks into nutreul and when he lets the rpm's drop back down it goes back into gear, and the other day he was driving home and just before he got to his driveway the o/d light started flashing and he turned off the ignition and turned it back on and the light went off but when he put the truck in reverse it will not go anywhere,it will only move in 1st gear only. (no reverse,2nd or drive) any help would be appreciated. oh by the way the fluid and filter was just changed 7,000 miles ago. thanks.
