Timing Belt Life in a 2.3L Eng??

My 87 motor only has 110k on it and its the original belt but I have no plans on keep the motor in my truck for to much longer. My brother in-laws broke at 190k at a gas station.

This thread is old. But my timing belt had 186k on it when I changed it. OEM Ford belt.

mine broke at 67,000 miles original oem ford belt. guess my truck was doomed from the start.

welcome to the club... just got mine back running after its one snapped on Thursday. If you know the right people to work with you could probably get yours running in 1-2 days...

Is there a thread in here on how to change your timing belt for a 99 2.3 4cyl?

can someone guide me to a diagram or picture of the sprokets and timing marks so i can get my belt aligned properly? I can't find a dummy diagram....I know once i do this the first time it will be cake...
