As much as you want really, they only go so far. Just remember the ride gets rougher the more you crank. Mine only gave me like an inch and a half when I did it because the one bolt was driving in more to begin with.
No not at all, if you had a 4x4 it would put more stress on the cv axles, but you dont. Just make sure to get an alignment after you crank them so you dont mess up your tires.
