My tailgate isn't locking shut properly. If i give a good pull it will pop right out and the other day i hit a speed bump and it fell open. Nothing major, but i'd like to be able to rely on my tailgate if i have stuff in the back that might slide out.

Here's a couple possibly helpful pics. There will just be some bolts holding it on.

on the cheap, if you don't use your tailgate often... take an old pop can, and wedge it in the tail gate as you close it so it's protruding in the bed but not out side of it... and it'll keep you tail gate closed solid until you need it open... you'll just need a new can.

hope this gives you an idea that costs much less than latch replacement...
