I know I can swap an axle from an explorer if I want a limited slip diff, is the same true from a Sport Trac?

I have a Sport Trac axle under my '99. If memory serves it was from an '01. It's worth noting that it'll be a 10" drum axle rather than the typical disc setup found in the 95-01 Explorers.

Awesome, thanks. I’m guessing it only works up to 03 sport tracs too?

As far as I know it would work through any of the first gen ST's, but there could easily be something I'm unaware of.

Forget which year 2002 or 2003 SportTracs changed from Brake Drums to Discs on the rear.

I wouldn't swap in an axle form anything just to get the junk limited slip Ford uses. If you have a open differential just buy a drop in luchbox locker like a Lock Right to put in it, cheaper, easier and works far better.
