I own a 2001 ranger with a 3.0 and a 5 speed. Does anyone know how to remove the dreaded 91 mph speed limiter. Ive tried bully dog, superchips, and jet. None of these will work on the 5 speed. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Why do you need to go faster than 91 MPH? No state in the Union has a legal limit that high and the 3.0 isn't exactly a track engine.

Well your speedo should be calibrated such that it starts lying to you at about 90 MPH.

But all else aside, I think the speed limiter kicks in at 120 anyway.

I know it's beer:30 and it's Saturday, and it's the weekend we lose and hour, but isn't it still a bit early to be drunk?

First of all the truck is not a track truck. It is my daily driver but it has seen track duty in the past. For all of you pansies out there that have never been down a track and think the 3.0 is a complete lush feel free to line up next to my pathetic 3.0 and enjoy the tail light show!!! I've owned 4.0's and trust me they are not all that. But my little 3.0 will run like a beast. And FYI!!! My tires are rated for it and so are my brakes and suspension. Get off your wallets and spend the money to upgrade the proper way and you won't have to worry about things like that. If you want a real 4x4 go buy an F-250 and lift it 8" like I've done. Bunch of ignorant smart asses!!! Running off at the mouth when you have no clue wtf you're even talking about!!!

Yup, you have me interested in your truck and conversation now, "Click" that was the Ignore button being pressed.....

You come, ask for help, and then bash the people you want to help you, go figure, Kids,

"Yup, I showed up for work, now pay me... WHAT you what me to ACTUALLY work ??? F#$% that, I quit.

Get your information somewhere else, I hate to tell you this kid, but this is MY world, NOT yours, you can have it when I'M done with it.

Greg
