I wheeled one weekend in my reg cab and bent my stock skid in half then ripped the mounts off then ended up breaking the gas tank straps and now have a rachet strap holding the tank in....

Yup I have no gas tank skid plate, its on my list of things to make. There have only been a few times I have been concerned about not having one.

Drive shaft or rear axle would probably get hung up before the gas tank in most cases.

Ya thats what I figured since the wheel base is so short.

I wheeled with zero skids. She being a trailer queen may have had something to do with that. I really dont know how I got so lucky all those years.

My tcase and tranny cross member scrapped a bunch at the last bundy hill run. I had my truck completely sitting on the tcase skid plate when we were at southington for the fall roundup. Came pretty close to the gas tank that time I guess.

Looks like you didnt give it enough gas through that ditch looking thing haha. That's how i get everywhere I got. Gotta jump right over those places.

Ya lol, my truck suprises me sometimes on what it makes it through. The next guy through in a truck very similar to mine broke his u-joint on that rock I think.
Anyway, a small little update, I got an explorer dome light a little while ago from a jyard cause I didn't like the mustang one I had and I finally got leds for it. They are a lot brighter then the regular bulbs. No before pics, just after with the leds.

? yeah, I'm pretty cheap with tires. I buy $400 sets and not a dollar more lol. I can't afford that kinda stuff lol. Also why I haven't done anything with it for a long time lol. All the ideas I have and not a bit of money to put into it at all.
