Guns + border = no bueno. I carry a gun while here in the states as well. Honestly the world isn't as scary as the media and other people make it out to be. Just know where you're going and where you should stay clear of.

I do have a large steel bar just behind my seat if I'm in need of a motivation device. Its for opening the camper lid.

yeah, i figured borders would give you some trouble if you were carrying firearms.
i didnt mean that you needed one just to defend yourself from people, but from wildlife as well....i'm sure there is some stuff in those south american jungles that you dont wanna run into

He could always just buy a gun once he gets across the border.

I'm scheduled to leave this summer. I have to hit certain weather windows for each continent. Leaving summer time lets me basically follow summer down south then back north and so on.
I figured you must be leaving here coming up. I went to make an order from your website for a decal and it said it was closed since you were close to leaving. Im looking forward to the trip.

WOW! two words, absolutely amazing!
One of the best builds I've ever seen. So impressive, and inspires me to build one too!
SICK!

WOW what a project & dang near all of pg 13 is all your own postings. Your truck seems to be sitting rather high from the ground for only having 31s, Is there a suspension lift of some sort on it? Looked like the rear shackles were after market??

I have 31s on my 94 2wd & its not sitting that high

That was an awesome build. Anyone know what it would cost to extend the cab like that?

Not many updates lately. I'm still working out all the bugs with what I've modified so far. A few weeks ago during testing I ripped off a rear shock mount and broke a fox shock's remote reservoir line. I'm finding all the weak links one at a time.

For the repair I first cleaned up the cross supports surface and rewelded the broken shock mount (left). Though the right mount didn't break I ran a few extra welds, just in case.

Then I cut 1/4 inch plate for reinforcements. I drilled holes for additional welds attaching to the existing structure. The larger hole is drilled where the mount is.

Next I crank up the amperage and go crazy welding.

Though the top material isn't very thick I add gussets anyways. Afterward I give it a coat of paint. I would still like to tie the new 1/4 plating to the frame somehow with a 90 degree gusset, but with the frame only being 1/8 thick I'm concerned with tearing off a chunk of the frame.
