roll bar lighting.

where do you guys run your wiring from the engine compartment to lights on the roll bar? i cant figure out how to do it clean.

ran mine along the frame rail then up through the roll bar tube were it mounted it was a pain to fish it through.

That would certainly be easier than fishing it through the tube...


IMO, I would suggest instead putting the lights on the front somewhere, they're next to worthless overhead (shows little to no contrast on the road surface, and you'll get glare off the hood)

all depends on what your running i have 4 daylighters and they light up whats infront of me just fine no glare on the hood but the back window gets lit up pretty good

i ended up putting 2 kc day lighters on the light bar. the wiring is ok i will go back and make is nicer later.

i guess 4x4 junkie used crappy lights on his roll bar to have them light up the hood and not the road ahead. my hella's light up the road and not the hood at all.

i guess 4x4 junkie used crappy lights on his roll bar to have them light up the hood and not the road ahead. my hella's light up the road and not the hood at all.
Must of used flood len's or does not have them set up correctly

Ummm, yeah, all my stuff is crap and don't work for sh!t (like the quality of the light would affect whether it hits the hood or not :rolleyes: )


Having the lights above your line of vision is worthless. You don't see the detail of the road as well, and you're forced to look through the light beam itself (which means any dust in the air will be all lit up by the light beam as well).

Try shining a bright flashlight down the road while holding it over your head, then do the same while holding it by your hip. You'll immediately see the difference in how much better the pebbles, potholes, etc stand out when the light is down lower.
