Relocated My Tranny Cooler.

HI!... Well did a little tinkering on the truck today. Thank god for a heated garage! LOL! I didn't like where Ford installed the factory trans cooler so I relocated it up in the open grille area for more airflow. Why they keep installing these coolers behind the bumpers on their trucks, I don't know. My F-150 was same way. Relocated it also. I basically swapped the horn and the coolers mounting points on the rad support. Then fabricated up a support bracket for the bottom of the cooler. Did a few test runs tonight (meaning, beating the crap out of it, lol!) The tranny temps seem to not rise as quickly and not get as high. Engine coolant temps were unchanged. I then used S/S hardware. I did a bit of undercoating while it was all apart. Ford rad cradles are notorious for rotting out. Mine was already showing signs of rust in the seems.
